Small Games of Chance Seminar RESCHEDULED Due to Impending Snowstorm
LUZERNE – Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) announced he is RESCHEDULING the
Small Games of Chance Seminar originally scheduled for March 21, due to the impending snowstorm that is forecasted to affect the northeast region of the state. The event will now be held on
Tuesday, April 3, from 6-9 p.m., at the Wyoming Hose Company, located at 70 E. 3rd St., in Wyoming.
“If you are a member of an organization that uses a small games of chance license, or your group is interested in learning more about obtaining one, I encourage you to attend this seminar,” Kaufer said. “This is a good way to make sure your group is following current state law, as there have been several changes and updates made in recent years.”
Liquor Enforcement Officer Derrick Devaney from the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement’s Compliance, Auditing and Gambling Enforcement Unit will update attendees on the state Liquor Code and how small games of chance regulations are enforced by his bureau.
This primarily affects event organizers of charitable organizations conducting Night at the Races, basket raffles, 50-50 drawings, bingo events and more. Organizers for these types of events may include church groups, school sports clubs, parent teacher organizations, private groups and clubs that conduct any small games of chance.
