Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) presented Charlie Dugan, owner of Dugan’s Pub on Main Street in Luzerne, with a House citation recognizing the pub’s 25th anniversary serving the people of Luzerne and beyond. Dugan opened this pub on March 15, 1993, during the historic blizzard of that year. His inspiration was to open the 100-year-old, turn-of-the-century building into his business on St. Patrick’s Day of that year, and he was able to do it, withstanding the winter storm. The pub is locally owned and operated as an American Pub-Style restaurant. Dugan’s Pub is a wonderful asset to the community, and Kaufer was glad to recognize the milestone.
