LUZERNE – To better connect veterans with available programs and services, Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) will host a Veterans Expo at West Side Career and Technology Center,
75 Evans St. in Pringle, on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
“Our veterans served our country with honor and distinction. This event brings numerous programs under one roof, so veterans can easily access services and benefits they’ve earned,” Kaufer said.
Numerous state and federal agencies, as well as veterans’ organizations, will be on hand with information for veterans. The expo will also focus on local programs that offer assistance to veterans. Old or worn flags will be collected for proper retirement.
In addition, Brian Natali, chief of the Division of Veteran Services and Programs with the state Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, is the keynote speaker.
Residents unable to attend the expo are encouraged to take advantage of Veterans Assistance Hours held at Kaufer’s office,
161 Main St. in Luzerne, on the third Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brian Stolarski, department service officer with the American Legion, is available to assist veterans, their spouses and their dependents with a range of issues including compensation, pensions, death benefits, education and health care, as well as many other veteran related issues.
For more information about this outreach, or any other state-related issue, contact Kaufer’s district office by calling 570-283-1001. Information can also be found online at
